Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Foundation (BPIRF) Weekend

The Bill Pickett Memorial Scholarship Fund has granted scholarships through the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Foundation (BPIRF) for minority students throughout the country. The Rodeo is celebrating its 35th anniversary in Greater Atlanta this year. Starting June 2023, the NewRoc Uplift Foundation, Inc. will partner with the Pickett Foundation to enhance the scholarship opportunities for students of Newton and Rockdale Counties. The Pickett Memorial Scholarship offers an opportunity for students to learn about the history and contributions of the Black American Cowboy and Cowgirl in the development and discovery of the American West, while also developing their horsemanship skills. NRUF is proud to support the Pickett Memorial Scholarship through financially supporting the Pickett Educational Foundation.
